early settlement - Nevada NV: Loans & Mortgages :: Refinancing :: Bad credit loans :: First time buyers home loans :: Advice on the best loan for you :: Mortgage advisor. First, the two types of loans are a conforming loan and a non-conforming/jumbo loan. Conforming loans are for amounts between $50,000 to $214,600. Jumbo loans cover loan amounts between $214,600 to $650,000. Higher loan values have special quotes. Loans can be fixed or variable (ARMS). Fixed rate loans are amortized over a period of 30, 15, or 10 years. Due to shorter commitments for rates, ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) rates are typically lower than longer term rates. These are best suited for transient borrowers. PORTFOLIO LENDERS Portfolio lenders are usually Savings & Loan institutions, and sometimes banks. They are called portfolio lenders because they tend to originate loans for their own portfolio (usually adjustable rate loans), not for resale in the secondary market. The distinction gets blurred because most portfolio lenders also engage in mortgage banking. As Greenspan spoke to the Congressional committee, Iraq announced that it would let in weapons inspectors and disarm. Stock prices and bond yields immediately spiked upward. If bond yields continue the upward trajectory, mortgage rates will rise, too. Fixed-rate mortgage products (for 1st mortgage only): Monthly principal and interest payments do not change over the term of the loan, which means your mortgage expenses are easily anticipated. If you believe interest rates are going to increase, this may be the best option for you. Property Taxes These are taxes paid to local governments, usually charged as a percentage of the property value. Your lender collects the taxes through your monthly payments. The amount of tax will vary depending on the location of the home. How do I get pre-approved for a loan? |
